Description
The DT2236 Digital Photo/Contact Tachometer is a multifunction handheld instrument designed for measuring rotational speed and linear surface speed quickly and accurately. By combining both photo (non-contact) and contact measurement modes into a single device, users can easily switch between measuring rotating objects without physical contact or directly measuring shafts, rollers and moving surfaces.
For non-contact measurements, the DT2236 uses reflective tape and a visible light beam to measure rotational speed from a safe distance, making it ideal for motors, cooling fans, pumps, compressors and other rotating machinery where direct contact is not practical.
When contact measurement is required, simply attach the supplied cone adapter or funnel adapter to measure the rotational speed of shafts and rotating components. The supplied surface speed wheel also enables the instrument to measure conveyor belts, rollers, cables and other moving surfaces in metres per minute (m/min) or feet per minute (ft/min).
Designed with industrial users in mind, the DT2236 features automatic memory storage of the last reading, maximum value and minimum value, allowing users to review measurement results conveniently during inspections.
Its compact handheld design, simple operation and wide measuring range make it suitable for preventive maintenance, machine diagnostics, equipment servicing, manufacturing, quality assurance and field maintenance work.
